Jayvee & Maricris

In September 2019, at age 22, Jayvee moved from Vigan to San Fernando, La Union to begin his work as a Medical Social Worker. After years of searching for love and meaning, God led him to Victory Church, where he encountered Christ, found a spiritual family, and was transformed into a faithful servant of God. As he grew in his faith, his prayer for a future partner shifted to one desire: that she would love God deeply. At the same time, God was shaping Maricris’ heart. As someone born and raised in San Fernando, her journey through challenges strengthened her faith. In 2022, she fully surrendered her life to Christ, discovered true love in Him, and began serving as a leader in the same Church where Jayvee is serving.

Their paths crossed in 2022, and what began as friendship grew into a meaningful connection grounded in faith and shared values. On Christmas Day of that year, Jayvee expressed his intention—but knowing it was not yet God’s time, they chose obedience and waited, each honoring their individual seasons. After two and a half years of waiting, they officially became a couple on August 16, 2025 during an event called “Race for LIFE”, and on November 29, 2025, with love refined by time, Jayvee courageously asked Maricris to marry him at a church event called “We Serve Appreciation,” in front of their spiritual family—and she said yes.” What seemed delayed was never denied. God fulfilled His promise and made their story beautiful—in His perfect time. “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11
